BuyOwnDay is a project that allows you to buy any day for only $1. So what does it really mean? The idea is very simple - this website lets you select and buy any day between 3000 B.C and 3000 A.D and become its sole proprietor!

Hi and welcome to my blog!

My name's Max, and in this post I'll give you a quick rundown of the site (you can read the details in the About section).

As the name suggests, you can buy your own day on BuyOwnDay.com! Any day on the calendar costs just $1. When you buy a day, you can leave your own description for the day, add a link to your own site and even add an emotion or your own picture for that day.

Once purchased, a day is unique - it belongs only to the owner of that day, who can leave any description and add any mood for the day they feel like. For example, spending $1 on July 11, 2010 allows you to cheer on the new world soccer champions ;)

You can also buy an entire period; each day will cost the same $1 as usual. If the period is for over 90 days, then instead of a smiley face or frowny face, you can add your own picture.

Every time the site is loaded, a random date on the calendar is selected. The longer the period, the more often a date in this big period is selected - which means that visitors see it more often!

Here's what I'm going to write about on this blog:

how many days have been sold;

about interesting days and periods which users have bought, and the descriptions these users have given;

larger periods, with links to them;

about the number of visitors to this project, where they're coming from and what they're doing on this site;

about my thoughts and my life;

answers to the most common, interesting and strange questions sent to me personally at max@buyownday.com

Catmouse sighting!

It's been just three days since the launch of BuyOwnDay and it already has its first she-fan ;) And that's great news!

Jane really liked the project and made a photo of her soft toy (which looks like a cat) dressed in a BuyOwnDay t-shirt.

P.S.
There was more than just a toy in those photos. But I'll keep them for private viewing ;) Enjoy the photo of the mousy-looking cat!

We'd love to see more reviews and opinions - I'll be glad to answer your messages.
